John MacArthur vs. The State of California

The feutured picture are those of John MacArthur, today, 26th July, 2020, ministering at Grace Community Church (GCC), CA, USA, for the first time after twenty weeks of observing the lockdown occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic in the state of California, USA.

The State of California has given churches liberty to meet on Sundays but they barred them from singing and using wind organs for worship to curtail the spread of the virus.

Some churches took the State of California to court on this matter and the United States’ Supreme Court declared in favor of the State of California.

John MacArthur, in a blog published on the church website yesterday, made it clear that the church he pastors will rather obey God and not men. Thus in a classic case of civil disobedience, Grace Community Church met today and sang heartily to the glory of God – unrestrained by the laws of the State.

The stage is set for a confrontation between the State of CA and GCC in the coming days. I implore those of you who love and respect John MacArthur to pray for this man of God and the church he leads, as they are likely to soon come face to face with some trying times with law enforcement in California.
